Article spreading like wild fire in business forums alike!!! Art blog, gamer sites, illustration.org Deviantart, Fairy Society! We need to spread this every where. I ask you all to post this information - talk about it - "Say No" to it - Lets get vocal and speak our minds! But most of all - lets do something about it!!! Mark has some very good subjections in his article.
Mind Your Business: You Will Lose All The Rights to Your Own Art Mark Simon is mad as hell and, in this month's "Mind Your Business," he tells you why you should be too. Orphan Works Bill News you need to know about. This is happening now!!! The Bill is being pushed to be released now!
I am usually very careful to check these kinds of things out before spreading the news. On the internet it is always wise to be careful what ones shares. Too many scams.! THIS IS NOT!
I can tell you Mark has been a professional for many years with many well know clients. His wife and himself are owners of a production company that specializes in TV production. Marks wife Jeanne has been a producer, writer, and content creator in the entertainment industry for 24 years. Mark himself has worked in production for 20 years as a director, producer, story artist, animator and designer, he has worked on over 2,500 productions.
So like ourselves Mark and Jeanne care about this new law and how it will effect us all.
You can find Mark's article here - http://mag.awn.com/index.php?ltype=pageone&article_no=3605
you can also get his complete document with link information by following the link below.
Here is a part of that article in his document talking with Alex Saviuk:
Spider-Man comic artist Alex Saviuk is also concerned about the loss of copyright protection. “When I found out all the negative aspects of the new legislation, it would almost behoove us to want to do something else for a living,” says Saviuk. “If we would have to register with all the different companies, we would never be able to make a living.”
“It would be impossible for me to register all my art,” continues Saviuk. “It would put me out of business.”
You can listen to my complete interview with Alex online at http://www.SellYourTvConceptNow.com/orphan.html.
Think this doesn’t apply to you? Maybe you don’t license your artwork? How about this?
Photos on the internet could be orphaned. With tens of millions of photos shared online with services like Flickr, Shutterfly and Snapfish, there is a huge opportunity unauthorized use of your photos…legally.

TALK AND BE HEARD!! LISTEN AND BE INFORMATIVE!
SHARE AND BE A GIVER OF KNOWLEDGE!
